Bracket Finishing!
My friends, the time has come.
Shall we complete the bracket? WE SHALL
Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!
HALLMARK+
Ted is a weatherman and they open the movie with him going rogue with a newscaster live on tv. That’s wild. The opening is harsh. WKJU is a terrible news station.
But the premise seems to be that plucky Ted has bad luck at Christmas. First issue? Luggage gets swapped. Followed by falling off a latter and getting bludgeoned by Christmas box.
A character is also named Ms. Mittens which is….wild.
THERE IS A DISABLED DOCTOR!. SHE IS A WHEELCHAIR USER! That is excellent points for me. Plus she makes rhe hot doctor main character Hope treat Ted, so they can reconnect and fall in love.
Don’t worry—there is a fashion montage for Ted led by Miss Mittens and her walking group. Ted is kind, funny, thoughtful, charming, and really magnetic. Good for this actor! He’s also funny. Hope and Ted have great chemistry too…way more than the other Hallmark couples.
There’s also ASL and Deaf representation. I think this movie is pandering to me!
The More the Merrier
Hallmark+
The final movie. Two doctors are delivering hella babies even though he’s a cardiologist? Doctors, is this normal?
Dr. Rogers is amazing. She is kind and thoughtful. She decorates the hospital to be cozy. Brian, the new cardiologist, is an emotionally immature man who can’t even carry a conversation with children.
The thief of this movie is the rest of the hospital staff, who have a great relationship with each other. Natalie, Brian’s sister, is the maternity doctor and she’s also hilarious. And Nurse Rich is the best man in the whole film. Brian is trash compared to Rich.
Anyway, a crazy storm hits. Lots of babies are born. I’m meant to believe Brian is lovable but he is not. Brian is low key sexist.
SO HOW DOES IT SHAKE OUT?
Best couple I give to “Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!” Which also sweeps the bracket. Ted really stole the show.
Most original plot though is “Christmas at the Catnip Cafe” because no other movie had a cat cafe to save.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays yall!
